HILTON CLEVELAND EAST/BEACHWOOD CHOSEN TO HOST 2005 WORLD SERIES

MELROSE - GRAND PRIX CARD TOURNAMENTS® is pleased to announce the HILTON® CLEVELAND EAST/BEACHWOOD (www.hilton.com) in CLEVELAND, OHIO as the hosting venue for the 2005 WORLD SERIES OF HEARTS®, WORLD SERIES OF SPADES®, WORLD SERIES OF EUCHRE®, and the WORLD SERIES OF PINOCHLE®..

This year, 2005, marks the seventh year for this annual international tournament of champions, featuring the card games of Hearts, Spades and Euchre. This year also marks the introduction of Pinochle as the newest member of the Grand Prix family. Approximately three hundred fifty (350) players are expected to attend this year's tournament, each player competing for the title of National Champion in their respective card game. Each year, the World Series, also known as the GRAND PRIX FINALS, attracts the best players from around the globe.

Grand Prix Card Tournaments® is owned and operated by GAMES BY ANDREWS, INC. Games by Andrews, Inc. is the creation of JOSEPH ANDREWS. Mr. Andrews is the director of Grand Prix Card Tournaments® and has played cards competitively for more than thirty (30) years. Mr. Andrews is the author of multiple books and articles about card games and, in addition to his writing accomplishments, Mr. Andrews is a contractor and consultant for several organizations and Internet Classic Gaming sites, most notably, the Microsoft Gaming Zone and the United States Playing Card Company (Bicycle® Playing Cards).

The Hilton® Cleveland East / Beachwood offers its guests 403 beautifully appointed guest rooms and over 16,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space to accommodate groups of all sizes.
