Tip $5+1 Tournaments In the forums, I often read posts that start with In a $5+1 tournament "I was….when…..happened. For some reason I just can't make the transition to higher levels." Another one is. "My bankroll is small so I play in $5+1 Tournaments."

The problem you need to address first is the $5+1 tournaments. Do not play in $5+1 tournaments. Go directly to $10+1 or move to site that has $5+.50 tournaments. I understand playing within your bankroll, but when you play in $5+1 you double the house rake.

You have added an additional 10% drain on your bankroll. 10% is a strong leak. Maybe a better argument would be. If you had the choice to play at your selected Limit where the rake was 5% to maximum of $1.50 dollars, would you play there or would you choose to play at site where the rake was 10% to a maximum of $3.00.

Come on guys, THINK. Don't play in $5+1 tournaments, single or multi-table. Eventually the poker sites will get the message and reduce the vig on the tournaments to $.50. If you and your bankroll want to play in low buy in tournaments, some card rooms, like www.Doylesroom.com, Have $2+.20. Do your bankroll a favor and save 10%.
