Into "The Mouth" of Poker
Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow became a member of the poker industry when his first job was dealing poker at a Vegas casino. He quickly learned his real talent was playing the game. Late night Omaha games at Sam's Town Poker Room taught Mike the finer points of playing winning poker. His success in these games convinced Mike he should quit dealing and begin playing full time. One of his goals was reached in 1999 when he won the WSOP No-Limit Hold'em event. Mike is considered to be the best Omaha poker player in the world. His style of play is aggresive and verbal, hence the nickname, 'The Mouth.' Mike is a very emotional player and doesn't hesitate to express his feelings at or away from the table.
